Buddies Elementary School prepares children attending classes from grade 2 to grade 5 for the international exams Cambridge ESOL.
Overview
The testing preparation is integrated within the daily English lessons, while examining, for optional use, is held at the school in the spring.
Depending on the age of the children they will be prepared for YLE (Young Learners English) and PET (Preliminary English Test) for Schools.
Young Learners
Young Learners, also known as Cambridge English Young Learners (YLE), is a series of English tests that are fun and motivating, aimed at children who attend primary and lower secondary education classes. Three tests based on activities provide children with a clear path to improve their English.
Preliminary English Test (PET) for Schools
Preliminary for Schools, also known as Preliminary English Test (PET) for Schools, demonstrates the student’s ability to understand and communicate using the written and spoken English daily.
The proposed programme includes:
Cambridge English Starters. It is the beginning of the English learning process for children. The test introduces them everyday spoken and written English in a fun and motivating way (click Cambridge Starters to download the brochure).
Cambridge English Movers. It is the next step in the English learning process for children. It’s a great way to help children develop their language skills and make further progress in the knowledge of English (click Cambridge Movers to download the brochure).
Cambridge English Flyers. It’s a great way to show that children are able to use English written and spoken on a daily basis at a basic level (click Cambridge Flyers to download the brochure).
PET (Preliminary English Test). Demonstrates the student’s ability to understand and communicate using written and spoken English (click Cambridge PET to download the brochure).
